Cast Bios

Sarah Korda – Anne
If the Korda name rings a bell, her grandfather was Zoltan Korda, the director of "Thief of Baghdad", and her grand uncle was Sir Alexander Korda, who founded London Films. Sarah's background includes a BA in Theater Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and A.C.T.'s Summer Training Congress. She has worked with Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Eastenders Repertory Theatre, and The African American Shakespeare Company, to name a few. In addition to "Greens", her film credits include Maria Breaux's "Faith-Based Charity" and the History Channel's "The Rescue". Sarah lives and works in San Francisco.

Carolyn Power – Janet
Carolyn Power was most recently seen and heard as the narrator in the stage production of "Primo", a play about Holocaust survivor and writer Primo Levi. She also continues to perform in numerous films including: "Greens", "Bust A Shalom", "Imprint" and "Planet of the Blacks". Carolyn holds an M.A. in theatre from San Francisco State University.

Anthony Haynes – David
Anthony's extensive skill set has allowed him to explore various roles in film, television, theater and even modeling. Some film credits include Fleeta Drumgo in "Black August" and Jamal in "Second Date". Anthony has experience with martial arts, knife techniques and voice characterization. He also works behind the camera as a music composer, screenwriter, and music producer.

Lena Zee – Lisa
Lena Zee brings years of theatre experience and stage training to her role as Lisa in "Greens". Zee's background includes several film and television performances, most notably as Isobel, the protagonist in the groundbreaking television pilot "Gunpowder" and as Karla in "Mango Kiss", which recently showed in the San Francisco Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. Lena is the TA for the Advanced Film Acting class at the highly recognized, Full Circle Productions and also holds a Bachelors degree from University of California at Davis in Economics and Biological Sciences.



Crew Bios

Seagan Ngai – Producer, Director, Writer, Editor
Seagan Ngai is a writer and director of short films including her latest, "Greens". Seagan has written and directed several shorts, such as "Plastic Dolls," winner of best drama at the 1997 Flicker Film Festival in Chicago. Other films include "Loveless," winner best drama 1998 Rochester Best Festival, and an experimental short "And Um," official selection 1999 Short Attention Span Festival. In addition, she has written numerous screenplays, including the feature length screenplay "Eye Inside," a finalist at the 2002 Barebones International Film Festival. Seagan studied film at the Rochester Institute of Technology and works as a commercial assistant editor in San Francisco.

Jesse S. Arnold – Director of Photography
Jesse Arnold has been shooting films since attending film school at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He has lensed many independent shorts and was also the 1st Assistant Camera on the feature "Mitsein" by Aparna Malladi. Jesse also has extensive experience with still photography and freelances as a still photo assistant in Los Angeles.

Yoshi Takebuchi – Composer
Yoshi Takebuchi was born in Tokyo, Japan. He was exposed to music early in his life, his mother played the piano and his father played the guitar. Surrounded by musical influences, he was introduced to many instruments including the piano, guitar, trombone and drums. When Yoshi moved to California in 1992, he began to compose songs with a computer compositional program, a gift from his father. He continued to write music as a personal hobby, experimenting with the digital realm, as well as going back to his roots on traditional instruments. "Greens" is the first film Yoshi has composed for.
